Notes: Isbell's Restaurant was formed by Marion Isbell and his brother-in-law Bill Helsing in 1934 after developing a series of soda fountain luncheonettes during the early 1930s. The first 'Isbell's Restaurant' was located at 590 Diversey Parkway in Chicago, and a second, also in Chicago, was opened at 940 Rush Street.

Marion Isbell would later go on to become a leading personality in restaurant management, including various directorships and President of the National Restaurant Association. He began selling off his interests in his restaurants in 1946 and would later form the Ramada Inn chain.

Old Ivory body in the Rose Shadowtone #1 pattern with a Salmon Pink and Butterfly Brown airbrushed design; interior topmark of brown leaves and the word 'Isbell's'. Backstamped with Old Ivory O.P.CO banner in red, no date code.
